personally, id rather have my 3rd gen, drop $5000 into it, and run faster than that...

only 4th gen id buy is a Ram Air II Trans Am...

 

We all know for about $2000 we could be running 13s. But in the eye of the beholder, 4th gens are supercool. Around every damn corner I see a 3rd gen PUNK or a *****. Not many young people can afford a 4th gen TA, let alone a 4th gen TA with $2500 in mods on it. Yes, I plan to modify my 4th gen with the left over money I get, dont worry :P

Killer305, don't you think its kinda SAD to waste all that money on a TBI and only get high 14s out of it? Didn't you say you could dance circles around an LT1? With those mods you should think again...

i have a 1992 RS 305 TBI with 175,000 miles on it, by looking at it, could you tell it has 175,000 on it? no probably not, and it still runs like a rock, im not doing anything performance to mine because its TBI, and im not a motorhead and into pulling motors and such, i bought a camaro because its a camaro, and i like the looks of them, thats the reason they make 6 bangers, and low end sports cars, not everyone wants a big 350 with 12 second 1/4 mile times...

some people like the look of the camaro and pimp them out with hydros and other things like that, but thats their car, their money, and they can do what they want with it, if you dont like it, then dont do, its a free world...

and this im better than you stuff is just plain retarded, basically OEJ, ive never said anything about you, but bashing all thirdgen people as rednecks, and as it appears to me coming off as your better because your getting a 4th gen, then go for it, id be more than happy to go out driving around in your 4th gen TA, but some people just like the looks of the 3rd gen also...

One thing that I've always admired about this site (and I joined when there were only 12 or 15 hundred members) is the non-adversarial tone of its members. This site has always been is about assisting fellow thirdgenners. If a member can't do that without confrontations and/or reciminations, then he/she needs to find another site. By the way, the idea that there are only 100 active members is simply nonsense. I assume because there is nothing cool here, One Eye will be gone pronto. Why would he remain if he is so unhappy, unless of course it's just to be a PTA.
