Plastic strip down side of car.
Looking for the plastic strip that is halfway down on doors and onto fender and quater panel. Stops the panels from being damaged. Was looking for the 82 to 84 type but don't think they are available anymore. Even the later ones are hard to come by at an affordable price. Anyone fit or recommend an aftermarket strip that looks good. See a few on ebay but hard to say what the quality is like.

they used to sell that stuff at the local autostore in black and some colors. they tell me its no longer carried.? they do carry gold and silver if thats your preferance? you just use a razor knife to cut-to-fit. many different widths. i usually go a slight size thicker to cover any imperfections. from what i understand its hard to find the correct stuff though and expensive. im open to suggestions or leads myself, missing my drivers side.

I got a replacement side molding for my driver's door on Ebay a few years ago. I haven't put it on yet because the car still needs to be repainted. If I remember right though it wasn't too expensive, you just have to look around.

Thanks for your replys. I have a piece for the rear quater panel and that's it. I will take the measurments and see what I can find. I think the early thirdgens used 1/2" strip.

I have a few pieces around. You can have them cheap. Shoot me a pm and I'll see what I can dig up.

actually I've always heard and called the bottom to top pieces door edge guards. Body side moldings is the correct term for the 6 pieces that run horizontal
