harness routing
what tricks have you done to clean up the harenesses in your eng bay weather it be modded or stock? im looking for ideas i can build upon when i pull my motor. im running the FAST ez system so most of my orig harness isnt used anymore and the FAST harness will allow me to to do do things my stock harness wouldnt.
Re: harness routing
My LT1 engine harness wires and power wire(s) from the battery go through the A/C wire hole. It's a the factory hole in the firewall where the HVAC or A/C wires go through.
Bulkhead removed and hole welded up. Those former bulkhead and other wires go through a drilled 3/4"? hole (with a grommet) behind the drivers side fender and those wires come out where the horn is. The hole on the interior side that I drilled out is located up high behind the driver's side kick panel or maybe even above the drivers kick panel.
In the future, I think I'm going to move all wires through the HVAC wiring hole. Right now I have a rear mounted battery but plan on going back to a battery in the engine bay because don't really need the battery back there. So, not having a zero gauge wire there should clear up some room. I also want to take a engine bay relay/fuse box from a newer vehicle so all my relays in the engine bay look nicer and are all in one location.

Deadbird, is that under the battery tray area? That's where I mounted my ecm. Bolted the fuseblock vertically above it.

Re: harness routing
Did you put in an access/beauty cover or is it open to the enginebay? Looks like my kind of wiring.

Re: harness routing
It's a tight fit to get all the wiring in there. I haven't gotten around to the cover for it yet. Air filter box then hides the cover. So, really, going through all the effort to neatly run the wires was... kind of pointless, lol.
