The vert was down for some time for some upgrades and some technical issues. We finally finished her yesterday! I put back the fog lights (upgraded to HID Fogs). My buddy Vic also fabricated a nice little radiator mount with carbon fiber accents to match the hood. In addition, we added new strut/camber caster plates and upgraded a bunch of bolts under the hood. We are ready to cruise this summer!

Car uses Global West springs. They were custom cut/tailored for the car. The rear lights were tinted with a clearcoat/black paint mix. I forget what was the exact ratio. Took me several times to get the perfect color.Originally Posted by LivinLarge

35watt, 6k HID Kit. The stock fog lights need to be customized so that the longer HID bulb will fit inside.

Superram is working great thus far. The torque of this engine is amazing!Originally Posted by puma1552

I don't understand it either. You would think one of these major players would want to make an iroc wheel that is different than others. Hell, make them in different sizes even!Originally Posted by 85_ZED28

Did you convert your stock fog lights to HID? That's something I want to do to mine. The stance is perfect BTW

Hi Mr. IROC-Z,
I don't know if you received the pm I sent to you, but could you tell me more about the wheels on your car? Did you order chrome irocs, remove the chrome and repaint? What company did you order from?
Thank you for any and all info!

Only in stupid 20" + sizes
I hate the chrome wheels. If Oasis or any other manuf would make those wheels, hhell even just cast and machined, up to customer to paint the insets, I would have owned a couple of sets by now. IMO it's the only wheel design perfect for these cars, unfortunatly fugly chrome and silly sizes ruin the dealSenior Member
yes love the wheels as i have chrome ones but its time to move on!! Great looking car man

Yes, the fogs were converted to HID's. You need to remove the internal metal structures within the fog's to make the HID's fit. It's a bit tricky but it can be done.Originally Posted by lb9 GTA

Hey there, Apologize for the late reply. I ordered the wheels over 8 years ago from a company called Performance Wheels. The company is no longer in business. The wheels came 'polished', but they were no where near the level I wanted them. We re-polished the wheels and painted the centers. The only way to really get these wheels now is to contact the couple manufacturers who produce IROC replicase and ask if you they can sell you an unfinished wheel (raw iroc wheel prior to it being chromed). It's a long shot but maybe it will workOriginally Posted by MI ROC-Z

Cool, thanks for the info! I kind of thought maybe you picked those up several years ago...
I already have an email sent to oasis wheel co. requesting a purchase of four unfinished IROC replicas that I will paint to match original GM wheels!
Thanks again for the info, and by the way, your car and all the work you have done to it are top notch.
Hopefully you can get a feature in Camaro Performers or GM High Tech magazine to show the public that there are some third gen owners out there doing mods and rebuilds the right way!
Once again, nice job on all the work you have done thus far!
John
