Another caliper painting post. Please, advice!

I plan on painting my calipers but I dont know about how to go about doing it. I plan on getting steel brake lines, should I wait to paint the calipers when I do the brake lines? And should I take the calipers all the way off the car and take the pads off too? Oh and also, would red look ok on a blue car??? Thanks

I would take them completely off and do them at the same time you replace the lines. When you do this, of course inspect the pads for wear and replace them if necessary. You may want to look into getting them powdercoated as well. As far as the color, I dunno how it would look on your car, but blue Z06s come from the factory with red calipers...

I just got remans and painted those and put them on. It'd be better to do it all at once, then you only have to bleed the brakes once. Also, before you commit to a paint, test it somewhere else by spraying it on something metal, letting it dry, then seeing if brake fluid takes it off. Learned that one the hard way.
