I work at a chevy lot, guess what I drove.........
Hey all, thought I'de share why I am soo pumped tonight, as you see from the subject I work on a Chevy lot, I have driven lots of cars but this one I take pride in sharing as I got to drive it down the road a bit and gased it up, I washed it and of course powerslided, and was thrown in my seat, without any further delay I drove possibley the last 02'z28 off the assembley line, this had the LT1 and a hurst shift kit linked to a 6 speed manual tranny, Arrest-me red, and mean as all crap!
I powerslid and man that thing had torque, then I took it on the road to gas up and the thing even threw me in fourth, sorry I know this isn't much technical, but I do detail and wash cars sooooo, I thought this was a spot where I could drop this post, to ask a question, how would I find out which this was off of the assembley line? well happy day to you all, and long live the f-body, even if gm states that it will cease, they will realize it when they don't sell as many of the ssr's and they will also think twice about filling the better slot in the whole "pony car" market, in my oppinion, as I've driven both the 02 vette, and the 02 Camaro, as crazy as it sunds, the Camaro had a better clutch and I loved its get up and go!

02's have the LS1 not the LT1... But GM won't get a clue if they don't sell many SSR's. They figured they would sell like 75,000 Aztek's and only sold like what 2500 or so? Something low I know, but that didn't stop them... Maybe a next gen will have cues of 3rd gen cars in it.

I think they sold about 16-18000 A$$teks, but your point is still JUST as valid...
As far as that being the last 02 Z28, I wouldn't put money on it - remember people are still ordering those cars at the dealerships, plus, we aren't even in 2002 yet..
Im sure it was a Blast to drive though, I'd love to try one!!!!

Yeah, sounds kinda early to be the last one, but I agree, those are nice cars, my buddy (only 18 years old) has a new black 6 spd z and still has his 92 rs camaro. I would love to have a 25th and 35th anniversary camaro
