Heritage stripes with blisters question
After G16 Fbody gathering, I decided that I want heritage stripes. I did some searching and found that the install was pretty straight forward. However, how does the vinyl go over the hood blisters. Also how are the two supports where the top of the spoiler connects to, covered?
Im looking at this kit. A 91/92 Z is shown in the picture. I have a 91 Z

Re: Heritage stripes with blisters question
the blisters get painted and the stripes run under the spoiler posts... remove the spoiler and lay the vinyl under it, and the other piece just goes on the top of the spoiler

Re: Heritage stripes with blisters question
I was thinking the same thing for my 92z....the blisters get painted? Really? What paint code would that be? I will be doing the silver stripes, not sure how i can match that.
The blisters come off easily. Had them off for cleaning this week. Didn't seem too fragile to me.
Can anyone with factory stripes post some pics of the hood blisters?

The vinyl is kind of glossy itself so you'd have to find a paint that has a gloss as well. I had my car at the gathering over the weekend. Here it is.

Re: Heritage stripes with blisters question
Thanks for all the input.
Damon, I saw your car at G16 and it looked awesome. I saw that you went ahead and polished the wheels out, and buffed the paint. That made a big difference. I didn't know it was your car untill someone told me who it belonged to.
