the first one you can see the scratches and the general ugliness of the wheel.

the second one u u can see where on the side it is scrapped up.

now, how do i fix this? is there anyway I can polish them? should i send them off to be machined? or any other clues?

If the scratches are only deep enough to have taken the clear off then just strip the rest of the clear off. Once you do that you'll notice the machined aluminum is very nice & shiney w/o having to polish it. I personally am one who enjoys clean, cleared machining marks/cuts. If you have pits you may one to consider having them resurfaced or you can sand them out & the rest of the machine marks for a smoothe polished look. After that, if you look on www.eastwoodcompany.com they sell a clear coat spray for wheels at a fair price. 1 option depends on how deep your wallet is & the other depends on how much work you want to put into the wheels yourself. Myself, I'd rather go for the resurfacing to get that machined shine back. Just my opinino tho, I chould be wrong.

Yeah, its not hard to polish the lip, its a thin layer of clear on it, just sand that with a fairly fine paper, not too fine or it will take forever, then get out the fine stuff and go to town. Then get em poished

what grit should i use? and is they're any chance of me screwing something up? (sanding marks or something like that? scratches?)

and what should i use to get the clear coat off,

and last question, what about the gold part? do i have to worry about getting clear coat off\on that?

I had mine professionally polished by a local tire shop. Very happy with the results. There is a small line where their wheel came close to the face of the wheel (gold mesh). But that is unavoidable IMO. It's been very easy for me to keep them maintained once they were polished by them.

As I recall it was around $100 for the set of 4. But I had the tires rotated (since they unmount the tires) and rebalanced while I was at it. It made sense for me to do it, since the tires needed to be rotated anyway and unmounting them is the only way to do it. If your tires are rotation specific as mine are, take special note that they mounted the tires on the correct rims. Even with marking them before hand they got them all wrong.
