Help me deciede...
So I had played with the Plasti-dip and blacked out my wheels and emblems. I was going to spray the stripes and accent color in the GFX, but peeled it off after getting sub-standard tape lines in all methods.
Question... Should I leave it "blacked" out, or should I peel all that stuff off for the Super Chevy Show Denver on Sunday. It to me looks mean sometimes, but then other times looks cheap. Opinions welcomed

Or back to this???

I'm leaning towards peeling it off

Looks good either way but I prefer the original look so I would peel it off.

Are you talking about the wheel lip ? Because that's the only thing I notice different from the pics. Blacked out looks meaner more aggressive like its ready to get down and dirty going thru brick walls and creating mayhem in a Hollywood movie Chase, but polished gives it a better show car look, classic weekend car not too abused pampered look.

The car looks good either way, blacked out, in my mind makes it look like its gonna do a burnout everyday, Polished lip looks like its going to be doing one per month.

Go back to polished lips. Oh and good luck with tape lines using plasti dip. It's fine if you paint a whole part with it, but once there is an edge it's going to want to peel up. I have the badges on my koup done and they have been done for almost a year now and no chips or peeling, but I also have many coats on them so if i want to peel it off it's going to be a chore.

I like it with the blacked out rims more. Makes the Blue/green(?) accents stick out more and draws the eyes to that. with the chrome lip it seems disjointed to me.

I like the polished lip with the blacked out emblems. Not exactly an option you gave.

Thanks for the opinions guys! Keep them coming
Yeah the tape must be pulled before it dries or it will leave a jagged line or pull up all together. The 1/4" pinstripe was next to impossible while getting an even finish. I was so pissed off that I wasted so much time messing with it I didn't even take pics. All the teal was covered satin black... Looked really good.
Hmmmm.... I could always peel the emblems last and see
Good idea.

Re: Help me deciede...
Well I peeled it all off! I spent almost 14 hrs cleaning it to be ready for a points cars show.... polishing and waxing door jambs and such, all to find out I mis-read my flyer for the Super Chevy show, and missed it. It was today! Oh well, think I try and find a good spot for some sunrise photos
Guess I'll post up pics of that tomorrow.

You have a good looking car that shows well. How much interest was there in your car compared to other third gens or overall? It seems it may have been a tough showing because of all the cars from the 60's and earlier all around. From the pics your car could have been easily the nicest 3rd gen there.
