91-92 camaro front ground/chin spoiler
ok guys i need some help here. i have a 91 camaro and my front ground/chin spoiler is destroyed. i bought a new 91-92 iroc z/rs ground spoiler/chin spoiler from hawks. as a side note i couldnt believe the price of this thing.
my issue is i sent it out had it painted and put it up to the car today and i dont see a way that it fits. on pass side i have the two slits in the fender for the plastic tabs. on the drivers side i dont. ill take some pictures in the morning when its light out. this is the exact spoiler that came off the car.
could i have fenders from two different cars. the other thing that throws me off is the little cowl on them. i dont see how that will clear the metal drop down in the fender.
i did not remove it since a transit driver so kindly destroyed it bringing the car to me. i have the 16 metal brackets and screws and the plastic body clips.

this is the part that i bought the price always goes down after i buy stuff lol.
any help would be great.

Re: 91-92 camaro front ground/chin spoiler
nevermind i figured it out. i had to cut the one side that didnt have slits cut in the fender. what a difference it makes having that on there. the car looks completely different. but with 6 inches of ground clearance wonder how long till im replacing it again.
this part fits amazingly tight. its on but i could not get all of the 16 bolts back in due to having to stretch it to get it to fit accross. i figure i will put it up on a lift this week and fight it somemore to try to get the rest of the bolts in.
my little helper likes to jump in for pictures with the car.

Man that makes your car look so much better Mike! Gotta feel pretty good to stand back and look at it now.

yeah it looked pretty bad in my opinion. like kbpi car show it drove me nuts. the car just looked wrong. i put it on and stood back and it blew me away. not quite your car yet though. it goes in for paint in about 4 weeks so theres still a chance.
T-top
the body guy that painted mine said as long as its abs thre is nothing that cant be fixed as long as he has all the pieces. guess i would see the cost to fix it then put it next to the price to buy a new one and paint it. they are not cheap.
Ruckus
thanks the paint is why i bought it over some other ls swaped 3rd gens i looked at. its going to be similar when repainted just Candy Brandywine on the top and Galaxy Grey on the bottom.

Good luck with that, I've repainted my front clip 3 times already. Its hard to maintain it when its a daily driver and lowered...

Dose anyone know if that front spoiler will fit on a 87 IROCZ. I've heard the new spoiler and rocker panels with the cowl only fit the 91-92. Is this true? Will it not bolt on to a 87?
