IROC Race Headlight Covers?
I'm not a fan of headlight covers, but I found this when I was thumbing through the 1986 Camaro Assembly Manual.
I'm thinking these were originally IROC race pieces.

I like "AWAITING LAYOUT APPROVAL". These look closer to the PACE CAR application but I see it is dated 86. Cool.

Re: IROC Race Headlight Covers?
The 1982 Pace cars got headlight covers from the factory, perhaps that's what they are? Also, note, the 82 pace cars had the tinted parking lights on the front, as those were originally designed that way to appear as if they were brake ducts. All the 82 Z28s (maybe 83-84 too) had smoked parking lights in the front, most people dont know/notice that, though.

Thanks for posting that though... gives me some ideas on how to make my own. IMO these are a great idea to put less stress on the hood at the latch area. I imagine that was the actual purpose for them. It would be pretty embarassing if the pace car's hood broke/flew open at the Indy 500 or wherever. They had to go pretty quickly by street car standards.

Here's some old posts. Looks like this has already been covered. No pun intended.

Re: IROC Race Headlight Covers?
I am already using it. I made my car wrapped in the local company of Head light covers. I didn't came across this company yet. The price they charged was also affordable and they put some nice design sticker on my car. Are there any latest improvements in these? Please produce details.
