how To clean Chrome Ceramic Headers ??

I have a Set of DOUG'S Chrome Ceramic full length Long tube headers and they are starting to look pretty rough gray/ white coating on them I can scrap it off with my finger nail .. makes the engine bay look like crap.. tried several cleaners including special stuff made by car chemistry for cleaning Ceramic headers no luck .. any Ideas ??????

i have ceramic coated shorties and i have cleaned them with real fine steel wool.

Cool I was thinking of trying that - even a scotch bright pad but was afraid to scatch off the coating thats why I have tried different polish/cleaners

Are they Chrome or are they Ceramic?

2 different finishes that require 2 different treatments.

If they are turning grey and chalky, you may want to look at your tune. Too lean will do a lot of damage to header coatings.

they are definitely ceramic coated and my tune is a little lean for this time of year however it is back in storage till march or April
