I guess it's probably been closed at least eight years now, but Mobile, Alabama used to have a salvage yard called Camaro Heaven. They were well stocked with Firebirds and Mustangs as well. If they hadn't closed my project would be done by now...and I'd be deeply in debt.

 

Trans Am Creations is in AL. I picked up something there last week, he has a huge warehouse full of used f body parts. Give Jeff a call.

Dang, how come Canada has 2 junk yards w/ cams and birds ?

What are their prices like there ? I seen about 50 cars I need to buy -LOL

Unless this guy has the only part on the planet and you are willing to give your firstborn for it, then I would keep looking elsewhere. He is in a category above expensive.

I called him a while back looking for tail lights and a few other things. The one thing that stuck with me is he wanted $300 for each tail

I didn't even bother giving him the rest of my parts list.

 

Wow, thats beyond ridiculous. He is a 3rd gen hoarder - no offense to anybody here.

How difficult is it to convert a canaidian car to us/english, and or is it required ? My guess is if you have to get inspection then only thing would be kh/mph thing, and perhaps some emissions.

Thoughts ?

Wow, he has some good stuff in there. It's a shame he dismantled so many rare cars for parts. I seen several 350 t-top GTA's (Canada only) 2 were carmine red interior cars and one was a paddle mirror. He also has a 82 firebird iron duke 4 speed and a 85-86 IROC in yellow for parts.

 

Dang! I'd love to have just 1 day in there with my tool box and pickup. I'd fill that long bed up to the brim!

 

I called him numerous times for parts he has everything but the prices are unfit I wanted a used t56 and his best price was 7gs thanks but no thanks

 

The pix are cool and sad at the same time. I love walking pull a part and if I was at that F-body yard I might never leave.

 

$7,000 for a used T56??? Does he not realize you can buy a completely built one from Tick for less than half that? What an idiot.

 

It's really sad that some of these guys would rather watch the cars slowly rust into the ground than sell the parts to people who could make good use of them. What a waste!

 

well I told him that I can get an ls1 and t56 from a company in the states for 4500(hawks) his reply was tell me the company because i want to buy them all for that price neways to make a long story short ill continue my busness at hawks

I just got off the phone with this place, inquiring about a spare set of '91 - '92 Trans Am GTA tail lights. The guy I talked to said they typically sell for $900 per side, and $1200 per side if they're in REALLY good condition.

 

How long did it take you to stop laughing at him? That guy is clearly not living in the same universe as the rest of us.

This guy is out of his mind. You can buy NOS for cheaper than that. But maybe that's the market in Canada? Hmm....maybe I just stumbled on to a new business idea. Sell into Canada and undercut all these crazy people

 

quite a few thirdgens in the yards here in nj. All kinds of good stuff

 

Camaro heaven in Tilton NH. Not a pick n pull but has a great catalog on his website of just thirdgen stuff. Really reasonable prices and cheap shipping. Couldn't recommend him enough.

Blaceys auto salvage in jackson has quite a few. you have to pay to get in though. $2. personally they are a ripoff though. AAA management in englishtown has shelved thirdgen parts. B&J auto salvage in marlboro has about 10-15. i'll be there this sat to see what new stuff they got.

 

i live in ft worth good luck finding yards with 3rd gens best bet is to find a whole car on craigslist all junkyards seem to have is 4th gen

 

I went to the website for this junkyard and asked for info on a driver side fender ground effect and hatch pull down motor and he wanted over $600 dollars for the motor and $400 for the ground effect.

 

I contacted them about a iroc steering wheel. 480 is his price. the condition would be best available but no idea what that means. I am sure it wouldn't be anywhere near mint. It's a shame this guy is doing this. I wish nothing but misfortune for his business, and hope this guy loses it all. It's not good business to ask these kinds of prices. I also pray that all these cars don't end up getting shredded or crushed. If I were ridiculously wealthy I would go buy all of them set them in an empty lot near the house just let everyone go pick the parts need for projects of them. Keep as many third gens on the road as possible.

 

DavidT's in Canada has been known in the "Hobby" to be a "Royal Canadian RIPOFF" !!! At best it's a good place to look around,Photo and document any rare/unique cars.

You can buy COMPLETE parts car's for the INSANE prices he ask's for one little part

His prices are insane from what I read and hes the only stupid Canadian up here. When I get parts I sell them cheap as I want them to get back into the hands of people fixing their cars. Nothing on these cars are gold or made of it. I lol'd so hard at $300 a side for tail lights. LOL i sold my last set and they where MINT for $100. All I can say is he doesnt deserve those cars

sheesh. Thats absurd. Those prices are ridiculous! I got taillights off ebay for $50 for both sides. Dashpad shipped for $200. IROC Steering wheel with horn for $50. You can find just about anything off ebay if you look hard enough. Now, out here in colorado, pick and pull is not really an option. 3rd gens VERY scarce. Couldn't find a front gold wheel, so went to car parts and got one from a junkyard almost mint for $75 shipped. This guys wants $7k for a t56? he's outta his MIND!

 

There's a place in Searcy, Arkansas that has 3rd and 4th gens I can't remember the name though. I've been meaning to go but the prices seem a little high. Not quite as bad as that place in Canada though.
