Kinda how I feel, I can handle the electrical, but cutting the core support is a worry for me. Especially since I just painted it!!

Re: My E36 headlight swap ( PIC HEAVY AND DETAILED )

pete0013 - I hooked up the angel eyes to the running lights so at dusk I can run them. Half the time I forget to pull the lights all the way and end up driving with the angel eyes all night lol. They are dam bright

86_irocz-28 - I thought of that for sure and I might do something in the fall or winter time as right now Im just enjoying the car as its the first full year Ive had it in the last 4 years. SO far its got it thugs and creaks Im still workin on but its hell of a fun drive

APACHE JOHN - I dont think I bastardized it as now I can see at night and the way they look is almost stock. Hey its not your thing thats fine but I really like modding cars with other stuff thats not in them.

I wouldnt worry as I took a ballpeen hammer to mine and its still pretty solid. If your worried about it after you could weld in a piece overtop of it. I wasnt as like I said I left alot of metal still there

Re: My E36 headlight swap ( PIC HEAVY AND DETAILED )

I just started grinding the holes out last weekend, have a ways to go, drivers side is done. I think i'll need some help with wiring, as I didnt buy the harness, so I have no idea where to plug everything in at, but this is an awesome mod.

Re: My E36 headlight swap ( PIC HEAVY AND DETAILED )

I started cutting last week but had to stop due to my suspension going out. This is how far I have gotten. Should be starting back on it tomorrow.

I will also cover the wiring as well as i know people have questions about it as well

a very interesting mod.what are those lights from, anyway.? I like the look and the upgrade and quality/brightness has to be way better than stock.

Re: My E36 headlight swap ( PIC HEAVY AND DETAILED )

Got mine all mounted up and "wired" up, something isnt right, as you can see from the picture. OP, did you ever get around to doing up a wiring diagram for these? Basically for me everything works when highs are on, Nothing works when I click to just lows.

Re: My E36 headlight swap ( PIC HEAVY AND DETAILED )

and here's to another winter. And as i said last year, i'm pondering about doing this, just now i got a good buddy who does body work saying he'll be able to do it no problem following this page. I found the new links for the headlights.. and I see you said you paid around 250 shipped to canada.. that means prices went up UP UP.. Its free shipping for the lower 48.. but prices still are much higher.

They're 319$ for the normal ones http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-92-99-BMW-E36-2DR-3DR-4DR-UHP-LED-ANGEL-EYES-EURO-ZKW-PROJECTOR-HEADLIGHTS-/171566348396?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27f226b86c&vxp=mtr
and 389$ for the Xenon HID verison http://www.ebay.com/itm/DEPO-BMW-E36-UHP-LED-HALO-ANGEL-EYES-HID-XENON-EURO-ZKW-STYLE-HEADLIGHTS-CCFL-/121427606765?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c45a63ced
Are the HIDs worth the extra $70?

You can put hid's in them for about $30, or have them pre installed for the $70. Just get the ones with the halos installed, it's a pain to put them in yourself

everything from this seller is preinstalled. So wouldn't have to mess with that.. Wouldn't putting in the HIDs be just as a pain? wouldn't you still have to heat them up to separate the glass from the housing.. or is it literally just a bulb swap.

I couldn't find any info on where to get the headlight you purchased, I know it is the Euro but what is the difference from the US? The Euro's on Ebay.com are 250+. Let me know, thanks.
