Polishing glass?
So I just got finished with the hatch on my car and now that its tinted I noticed more deep scratches then I thought. Well it just looks horrible on the new paint. Anyone have any luck with Eastwood deep scratch remover kit? Or any luck with any other product? A guy at the auto parts store said if I could feel it with my nail that it was not coming out, but I have heard different.

Re: Polishing glass?
u might want to check out autogeek.net they have products available like glass cutting pads and polish that can essentially do the same thing as buffing paint but for glass they also have tons of stuff for paint as well

I have polished glass before, but not with the eadtwood system and its never got much betrer, i can tell you that if you can feel the scratch with your finger nail then its not coming out, glass is much harder than paint so once damage is there its there for good for the most part

Re: Polishing glass?
Try it if you want, last week i tried it on the passenger window of my RS and it might have got like 2% better. Glass sucks to deal with.

Re: Polishing glass?
Yeah i want to find out as well. When i did body work i left horrible scratches and pits on my door windows.
Re: Polishing glass?
It can be done but, it's labor intensive. There is no one product that will complete the process. It's a step down process that requires many stages and tons of water. If glass gets hot, it will shatter.
