So this last Sunday here in CO I put together (with help from friends and members) and hosted the MHTG (Mile High Third Gens) Spring Meet. We had a car show, BBQ, and cruise up and around the canyons near Fort Collins.

This is our second year of hosting the event at our shop, and we had an amazing turn out of REALLY quality cars. 23 Third gens including, a beautiful 87 TTA, 91 B4C, 88 IROC Med orange metallic, 92 Z03 Convertible, 88 Formula convertible 5spd, couple LS swapped camaros... NICE CARS!

I was super busy and realize after I didn't have pics of all the cars, but here is what I have to share.

So last year we made this same cruise, just before a massive forrest fire burned everything. It was really sad seeing burned homes and how bleak the mountains now look.

Yeah it does. SO SEXY!!!! I wish I would have had the chance to take more pics of it. He also owns the TTA

He is one of my best friends since we were like 5 years old. Also works for us at the shop, and is a member here... think his screen name is Nortz? He doesn't post much, but he has been lurking in the LS swap thread a bunch I know.

 

WOW! That looks like a great day out. Some really lovely cars there. Would love to bring my GTA and join in but living over the pond in the UK I don't think that will be happening. We can but dream. Guess I'll have to settle for British cruises, not nearly as dramatic but better than nothing!

 

The meet was great. Several very nice third gens and people here in the mountains. Everyone had a lot of passion for the cars.

The pewter RS has an LSX motor in it as well. Not sure of the owner is a TGO member or not.

The pics of BADNBLKs 91 Z don't do it justice. It's a sweet ride in person.

Seeing all bunch of third gens definitely made me want to get back out in the garage to get moving ahead on mine again. Weather and family commitments these last few months have kept me from getting back at it ...

 

Know what you mean my friend. I bought my Trans Am 5 weeks back and although pleased with it in general it needs lots of TLC to bring it up to my required spec. Been living in my garage working hard. Getting there but so desperate to get it out on the road. Nothing major, just cosmetics. Come summer and the bird will fly free!
