my wife and i are moving at the end of the month, and wanted to get as many of the local thirdgen guys together as we could to get some cool pics. here's what we got from today. the tgo members pictured are maroon88iroc, InfernalVortex, jw89iroc, and myself. the firebird and black z28 are my folks cars.

 

 

How fat are the rear tires on the black Z28? Those are huge for 15's!

 

same size as the tires on the back of the white car. 275/60/15

thanks! that's my little brother's 89 iroc. we recently did a 90-92 dash swap and that insert started as a blank from Classic Dash, and we drilled the holes and he wired it all up. i'm very excited to say that everything in that dash works as it should, lol!


thanks! that's my car, and i can say i've turned more heads with that dash swap than anything else i've done to the car. i will say, the swap is still far from complete, as i have lots of tweaking to do. as you can see, i'm also missing the filler panel that goes between the window and the dash. just can't seem to pull the trigger on one at full market value since i have to cut it up, lol!

thanks guys! my wife and i are really excited about the move...i'm mostly pumped about getting a job with my degree (applied mathematics) and getting away from the GA heat.

initially, we are going to Catonsville, but the car is going to be in Waldrof at my uncle's. i'm looking for a job and once i get one lined up, we will find a more permanent living situation. we are, however, planning to try to make it to MIR sometime around the 23rd of june...the car is no show stopper, so don't be surprised when you see it with scratches and dings, lol.

the black car is not using any spacers with his wheel/tire combo, but there are lots of fender mods on the white car to get that same 275/60/15 tire under the car with a 15x10 and 6.5" backspacing.

 

Ill for sure try to make it down! Maybe it's only where I'm at, but its rare to see any halfway decent third gen. Much less a lsx one .
I think the only one I've seen was at a car meet in Hollywood a guy had 86' Iroc with a procharged ls2.
Sweet car but I didn't get to meet the owner unfortunatly.
