IROC Z price range

Hello. I was wondering what the members here think is a fair value for a 80's IROC Z with around 100k km's or less that requires no major work. Basically a nice example that's been well taken care of and not beat on. I was hoping 5-7k should be enough but the market is always changing. What are the members thought on this subject.

Re: IROC Z price range

I think that is a good price range for a descent IROC-Z. So which what options LB9, L98 , Lo3, 5 speed, t tops, convertible? What are looking for?

Must have is T-tops(no verts) i prefer 5 speed but you can't get that with the 5.7 but would rather have the higher output motor.

For 5-7k in my area you can get a fairly nice ttop even convertible when there available with low mileage under 100k

Re: IROC Z price range

I would search for good body dont trust mileage on 100,000 odometer. 1990 iroc only year with one million mile odometer and also can't disconnect from transmission. Almost all 85-89 IROCZ have over 100 k and lie and say 45-60k when 144-160k IMO.

Re: IROC Z price range

Let's see, 100,000km is about 62,000mi. I'm assuming your ether in Canada or overseas. So if were talking prices in the US in US dollars, you should be able to find a pretty decent IROZ-Z with 60,000 miles or so on it win your price range. Don't know about prices out of the US, I'd expect them to be higher.

Re: IROC Z price range

5-7K Should get you a nice IROC-Z.

Just an FYI, engines are very frequently advertised as High Output, but in actuality they are not, so don't trust anyone who says that it's a H.O. motor until you get the VIN to see if it came equipped with one.

Good hunting!

Re: IROC Z price range

I think you should be able to find a great example of an IROC-Z in that price range. In Michigan, it's very hard to find these cars. They're mostly all roached out and rusty. There's a few diamonds in the rough though! If you look hard enough, you'll find what you want. Good luck hunting!
