Anyone mounted custom racing seats like Sparco or Corbeau to their "factory" slide brackets? Problems? Work arounds please. Thanks.

Hey Bud........sorry to say, but most of these seats require custom brackets. I have MOMO racing seats, and I had to order new brackets and sliders.
Sorry.

Tommy...there was no way to mount the seats to the original frames or did you even try to fool with it. Seems like you could weld or bolt the seats to the old frame rails.

Hi,
I suppose you could try to weld the seats to the existing rails, but I did not try that option......although it may have beena good option........and much cheaper!
Grab one of your sliders and walk into a sports car shop with racing seats and try to see what contact point you can weld to...might not be a bad idea.
Keep me updated.
Thanks

Corbeau seats here, with their brackets. I have a suggestion if you go this route. Their bracket has a front bar that interfers with the lever to adjust the seat forward-reverse. Their solution is to provide a bunch of washers to raise the bar up high enough to access the lever. Stupid design. I cut that front bar off so the lever is accessible. Good luck, Lon.

Nice ride PM!
I especially like how the center console matches the interior... howd ya go about doin that?
Also, what rims are they? They are one of the few I have seen that look good on a Bird.

I bought a hide of leather from the seat supplier and had the dash pad and radio pod covered to match. They also made me storage pockets for the doors. Then I sent a piece of leather to a paint supplier of upholstory paint who made an aerosol in the same colour.I then sprayed the console.
