Cleaning the T-5 Shifter Boot
Some manual cars have a genuine leather boot. To keep it supple and good looking, remove it from the console, then from the surround, and use the products below.

BTW, I've noticed that some boots fall down on the shift lever. If that's the case, the shifter is probably missing the rubber piece shown below.
