Hood Scoop 91-92 z28
So my car has the flipper hoodscoop on the hood. I really cant stand them, they look decent.
But the idea of a non functional hood scoop and water always get stuck under them.
If I take those puppies off will there just be a black spot where they were or will it be painted like the rest of the hood?
Im sure someone in this huge forum has thought about it.

No the hood does have indents where the blisters would be. Without them it would be an eyesore...

Nice, I've always wanted to do that, but never got around to it.
To the OP,
Most of the "aerodynamic" parts on our cars are not functional, nor actually aerodynamic. They are mostly for appearance. From the ground effects (chin spoiler/sideskirts), spoilers, and even the grille where the fog lights go.

Also our cars have very respectable drag coefficients. They're very aerodynamic. Especially the birds, but I imagine the Camaros wouldn't be very far behind if you used headlight covers. In fact I think a third gen Firebird owns a land speed record for a stock bodied car. That was as of a few years ago, so it may have been beaten by something by now.
