There's a 7x6 "bi-xenon" projector headlight for 82-90 Firebirds(in my Formula, about which I have a thread on these forums), but the product that seems to have eluded the aftermarket world of retrofit-style projector headlights is a 4x6 "bi-xenon" projector headlight for 91-92 Firebirds. Such 4x6 dual beam projector headlights seem to be desired by a lot of Camaro-owners too. So on a quest to find something that might work for the rest of my fellow Firebird-owners, I searched for projector headlights for 1993-1997 Firebirds(same headlight/same fitment as 91-92 Firebirds), and I found one. It's apparently been available for about 5 years, and it's from Blackbird Lighting Solutions. So I contacted BLS to be sure it's still available before I posted this, and yes, it is still available, made-to-order.

This is a high-end product. And like all high-end products, it carries a high-end price. But it's encouraging to know that high-end products like this are available to us. If you have questions, contact Brian through the BLS webpage.

There are plenty of retrofit-style 4x6 single beam projector headlights available, but all are designed for 4-headlight systems, probably because cars that use 4x6 headlights typically have 4 headlights. So a 4x6 dual beam projector headlight apparently seemed like it wouldn't command much interest in the marketplace, and the few cars that use 4x6 dual beam headlights, such as 93-97 Firebirds and 91-92 Firebirds, were left without a modern headlight option. That's why Blackbird Lighting Solutions created its product, specifically for 93-97 Firebirds, eventually expanding to offer projector headlights for all 4thgens. The BLS 4x6 "bi-xenon" projector headlight should also prove to be an excellent 'Solution' for 91-92 Firebirds too.

So with this BLS 4x6 "bi-xenon" projector headlight fitting 91-92 Firebirds, and the GTR 7x6 "bi-xenon" Tru-Projector headlight fitting 82-90 Firebirds https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/auto...ml#post5560658 there are excellent quality, high performance, pop-up-fitting, REAL projector headlights available for all 3rdgen Firebirds.

 

Woo that's pretty spendy! I'd live with the halogens before I'd drop that kind of money.
