Day One, Getting '89 Firebird Going!
Day One, Getting '89 Firebird Going!
Pictures!
Those are the pics I took very early on, I air'd up the tires (all flat!) and pushed it out of the garage.
The interior in these pictures had not been dusted or cleaned yet.
I had inherited it from my father who passed a year and a half ago, it was his Mid-Life-Crisis-mobile I suppose. He sure loved it! He only got it to about 45,000 miles before his health kept him from working on it, and it developed an issue with the fuel getting to the engine.
Anyways, gently used, but it was stored for a couple of years outdoors, and an acrone attack needs to be addressed.
Mission Outline:
1. Get it running! I had it towed to a great shop a few mins ago.
2. Get all dings and imperfections addressed, and a GOOD paint job (I assume all the dings will make this necessary).
3. Detail it up! I am no gear-head (sadly) but this I can do!
4. Gently enjoy.
Thanks for reading! This is my first post, and I will update this thread as I go along.
If this is the wrong place for this, please feel free to move.
