Where do I find them. And what are they? My 86 Iroc Z28 is red right now,but I think it was white before.

A paint code is just what it says. It tells the specific color that the car was painted at the factory. It is listed on the SPID sticker and will be found in the glove box, console or rear storage compartment on the left rear quarter panel. I don't remember exactly where yours is located, but the later Gen 3 cars have the sticker in the left rear storage compartment.
The paint code will be expressed 40U/40L for white(I think) or it could be listed as a WA XXXX on the bottom of the sticker or....it could be listed both ways.
