He's telling the truth though, there really isn't a clear article on how to do it. Atleast not that I've found. It's always it fits for this car not that car, you need this or that, cut here or there. All I know for sure is it works in firdbirds, autos are much harder to make work, there is a certain year, and you have to cut a place for the light switches.

Calm down there un4givin89, I had not seen it. Good picture, they seem very up close?
Anyways, I assume you didn't get the AC/Heater controls out of a fourth gen to work, so what did you do about those?
What did you do about the passgenger side airbag, or was that even in there or a problem?
Lastly, what did you do about your guage cluster?
Also, all place sit flush? I know there were parts that didn't there, but you never stated why they could be made to fit flush.

I haven't done the actual install yet. I have the dash outta an 93 Trans Am in my shed along with door panels. Most of it bolts up, the only hard part is the insturment panel switch and you'll need some creative skill to make the vents work as you'll need to cut the old ones. Use some of that flex pvc pipe. The dash fits perfectly, but only about 4 of the holes line up, you'll have to drill a few new ones. The doors only need serious modification to work with your orginal 3rd gen dash, with the 4th gen dash, all that needs to be done is make the handel hole alittle larger. Ask virginiaguy11@aol.com for more details. His website is at http://www.fortunecity.com/silversto.../63/index.htm. He lives near me and has done this and completed it. I'll be making a detailed tech article this summer when I do this.
THe cluster believe it out not will work yes! Its electronic, and with alittle skill easy to setup, howeverif you have an car earleir than an 89 (CAMARO, firebirds already where electrionic) Ya need a VSS (Vechial Speed Sensor) Now your dummy lights take alittle work and what not, and some of the stuff he did is simple creative re-wiring of his own.
Sadly I'm not doing this till the summer when i have all the parts. But I'm going to put together a big *** article with lots and lots more pictures, closes up, wiring digrams, bla bla all in downloadable acrobat format.
THE END
