I mor eweek left till i ma off to college and i figure i will polish and port the plenum.... What polish(s) should i get for this???

And i need to know how to take off the plenum.. i was looking at it, dont seem to hard to take apart, but to put it together i am scared...

First, what accelerates the car is a metal wire pulled my teh accelerator... i dont want that to be loose when i take it off, how does it come off?

I heard there is a sensor somewhere? where is it, and how can i avoid messing it up? The car hasnt been on for a few days.. can i just unhook the hoses from the front right of the plenum and be sure that nothing will poor out??

I am asking all tehse questions cause my dad paid for the car, and he doesnt want anything to go wrong after or while doing this... and if it does, i am gonna have some serious issues with doing anything else with the car.
