This is the catco converter with 14" extention pipe, not a perfect installation, but i did it myself.

This is the interior, at this time we were obviously changing the computer and installing the t-5 and shift plate

the day we got the motor in.

This is the Edelbrock Y-pipe, nice and clean installation. Once again i did it myself.

And Lastly, the rear of the car, at this time we finished putting the Flowmaster Delta Force and rear GTA rims and tires.

Well there u go, thats some of the pics i took, It was a long process, but im proud with the results, this may im looking foward to a brand new paintjob.[/QB]

yeah its a 3 inch (universal)catco converter with airtube, its not a direct fit, i believe its shorter than stock, i had to buy a 14" in length 3 inch pipe to reach the flowmasters, i paid$48.00 for it, dont know the part # all i said was give me the 3 inch catco universal converter and thats what i paid for it.I started saving up since i was 15 working as a valet(pitiful) as time went on, i got more into TPI and camaros, and heres my baby. She screams like a raped ape for sure, as of now the motor is being taken apart since i put the wrong head gaskets on, since i have vette heads i had steel ring head gaskets, Motor is almost done, Im just really confused on which power adder to go with, if i go NOS i gotta worry about timing all the time but the price is good, if i go Supercharger ill go ATI but its expensive. Im clueless. thanx for the nice response

i got my catco converter at Summit, people tell me they paid $50 something or more i got mines for $48.00, why i have no clue. Thanx again for the kind responses, the hardest part of the motor was the heads, since i installed the vette heads and Accels cam basically everything needed to be changed, heads had to be taken to machine shop to get double springs installed, after that i had to take it back to get new valve keepers installed, after that was done i found out i couldnt use the stock guide plates, after that i had to buy longer rocker arm stud, it was a pain but worth it, so far basically everthing on the motor is new.

I'm not trying to isnult you or anything but why did you go with a 305 if you got a new block and everything else new? Why not a 350?
Btw which engine did it orignally have? I'm doing a 2.8 to 350 swap this spring/summer. I'm getting the parts now so i can just put it all together and put it in when it gets warmer out.

I am with 3gc on that one ....y didn't u use a 350? again not trying to insult you in any way just wondering... some people just like to have thier 305 b/c 305's get ragged on so much about how they are not a 350...
lol, i love it when people ask me that question, its not really an insult so dont worry, Guess u can say i went with the 305 Due to principle, If u look under the hood of most camaros its all 350's, 355's. 305 TPI motors are very rare and im not ragging on anyone, but alot of people dont really know, how to get the potential out of a 305 TPI, its there u just gotta know how to do it. Im no expert on 305 but i've been doing my homework, Im trying to hit low 13's on a naturally aspirated 305. When i shut someone down with their 350, it makes it all worth while, i had the 3.1 v6 auto im my car before the repair. Now that the project is over, im hoping to go much much later on with a 406, superram setup and a T trim Vortech supercharger, but thats LATER on in the future, right now im gonna enjoy my modded 305 and burn some mustangs and imports
