Good outdoor car cover for 92 RS?
Not sure where to post this. My all original 92 RS is about to have to be parked outside. Looking for suggestions for a good outdoor car cover to minimize scratching the original paint.
Any help/links is appreciated

Don't use a tarp.lol Tarp will destroy the paint and cause mold build up all over the interior.
This is what I use on my 89 that always sits outside:

I've been using the size 3 for about 5 months. It works really well and impressed the heck out of me. I used to use the cheap soft budge covers, but they are nothing but wet blankets when it rains and they deteriorate fast. They are really not for outdoor use, really just a dust cover to be used inside. With this Neverwet, When I uncover the car, it's as clean and dry as when it was covered. I got it cheaper at O'reilly's in town. I also use the Gust Guard cover clamps which will keep it on in 35-40 mph winds or less. I did almost lose it, when we had some 50 mph gusts a few weeks ago, but for the majority of weather, the clamps will keep it on. Those are also at O'reilly's.
As for scratching, I haven't noticed any scratching, however the wind will cause some scuffing marks if it's whipping against the car. This is true of any car cover even if a cover costs $300.00. The tighter you can cinch it on the better. You will never be able to prevent wind from getting under the car and through the cover, but it is better than just sitting out in the elements and 100% prevents bird droppings which is the absolute worst for the paint while it's sitting out in the sun all day. When it rains, the cover cleans itself, or you can also take a hose to it.
Hope this helps!

My car doesn’t stay outside, but in case it ever had to for some reason I got the cover king Autobody Armor cover..
Not cheap, but they say it protects from UV, dings and scratches, and extreme waterproof with breatheability.. It’s a three layer cover and custom fit to the car..
Its a tight fit that you can lock with a cable and lock.. The underside is soft like microfiber so it won’t scratch..

Thanks guys. I was thinking of using a blue tarp with cement blocks as anchors and then tossing a few cement blocks on top as well to help hold it down, lol
Those two covers look like good options I appreciate it. I either need to sell a car or cover it

I’ve had an eBay cover for about 4 years now and it’s still perfect. It’s waterproof and has a soft underside so it won’t scratch your paint. If I remember right there were cheaper and more expensive covers but the one I bought was around $60-$70
whatever you do don’t buy rainx. I had a car with no driver side window I needed to cover until parts arrived and I used a rainx cover. Inside was soaked after it rained
