The car cover I got a few weeks ago seems to be peeling the decals off my car. Fibers from the cover are getting underneath the decal edges and peeling them up slowly. I've lost some of the flames from the mouth of the firebird on the side pillar decals, and in the case of the firebird on the hood, you can see the damage below. It's pulled the head clean up and it was so badly twisted I had to remove it, and you can see the twisting/peeling in other parts of it as well. This one is fubar so I'll replace it entirely, but for the big Formula 350 on the side, does anyone have any recommendations how to stop it there? I've noticed on the drivers side the tops of a letter are two are peeling up. I'd like to know if anyone else has run into this issue, and how I can prevent it from happening in the future. Best ideas I've seen online are small bits of super glue, or 3M edge sealer, although I'm worried about both leaving residue around the decals.
Agree with Drew. ....you need genuine decals. I make decals (sign shop/vehicle wraps) for a living, and I bought high end decals from Phoenix Graphics instead of making them myself. It's a different process. -as you're finding out.
