Nice looking car. I also have an 84Z, blue with a few mods.

 

Those early Z hoods are awesome .

 

Yeah. I love the 82-84 Z hoods. I'm split between them and the 91 & 92 Z hoods. You can check out my '84 Z if you click on the picture in my sig. The only thing I don't really like is the front end on our cars...so I've got a '85-90 bumper/GFX.

91' to 92' Z hoods rock too. Thats whats on my RS now. Unfortunely it is badly damaged ( baseball sized dent, kinked frame ) so I am looking for a fiberglass Crossfire hood since I'm going to CFI too.

 

I like the earlier hoods but I like the louvered 1's better. I always liked the 82-84 Z28's and 85-87 IROC-Z's best. (IROC's a little more though )

If I had to pick three best years for thirdgen Camaros, it's 84, 87, and 92.

 

I too back the '84.... And I'm actually in love with the difference in the '82-'84 front nose. In my area, I'm about the only one sportin' an '82-'84 Z28 in good shape (the rest are beat up rust buckets). So I feel like I have something special and unique.

Plus I believe that the front nose helps bring out my new Turbo Daytona Hood.

 

Here are a few more shots of my car. I finally have four good tires so I bolted on my IROC wheels. It looks so much better now!

 

looks like your hood is fading due to the california waterbased paint mines like that along with the roof, i used this medium cutter to clean my paint, now i just whipe my hand on my roof and have a metallic blue palm lol
i also have an 84 Z, i love it, the nose is deffinatly my favorite one, and the hoods are the best
oh yeah is the same color as yours lol but faded on the roof and hood. theres one other car almost excacly like mine but it has a 3rd brakelight and stock motor

 

What are the 84 z28 hoods worth? Anybody know? Derek
