COTM Breaking News!!!
I think it's time for some new blood here at TGO COTM. After five years, putting these things together can become a bit of a chore. Full disclosure: There are some months (especially these holiday months when we've got a lot of pots on the stove) where it's like "oh crap, I gotta put together the voting thread (or winner thread) for COTM!" It may look easy, but setting up the Voting Threads can be long and tedious at times, and on the Winner Threads, I hope that it came through that I tried to make every Winner Thread sincere and personal for the Winner.
Also full disclosure: It has truly been an honor and a source of pride to be able to say "I'm the Car of the Month Editor at TGO", and its been an honor just to be able to say that I do a thing for [us] The Third Gen Community.
So effective next month (and yes, that includes COTY, if we're doing it) I'm happy to announce that the new COTM Editor will be QwkTrip. QwkTrip, I'm glad you agreed to do this, and I look forward to seeing some new ideas and a different flavor. Just PM or text or call if you need anything.

Re: COTM Breaking News!!!
Well done, Linson. Five years is a long time. I don't think anybody can match your way with words, and the grace and class you brought to the table. I think you'll always be known as the best!
Looking forward at the months ahead, everybody please be patient with me as I learn the way. I didn't seek out this role but I'm game. We're going to make a few little tweaks to give people better 2nd chances. More about that later.
But first, we've got a Car of the Year to run, which I just learned I'm doing when Linson created this post
Oh, and the annual fun fact awards too.... SO LET'S GET IT ON!!!

Linson, thanks for what you've done. I've seen a lot of cool thirdgens because of your work.
Qwktrip, this sounds like it's right up your alley. I think you'll do awesome and can't wait to read the threads you'll put together. Thanks for your future effort!

Re: COTM Breaking News!!!
Linson,
Thank you for all the work that you've done with the COTM! I have always really looked forward to it every month, and I always participated.
I always liked the write ups you did for all of the winners. It was always a professional and personal touch to the award.
QwkTrip....congrats on the new gig! I am anxious to see what kind of new ideas you come up with! And, I appreciate that you are taking it over, as I would truly be bummed to see it ever go away. It's where the very best third gens on the planet are showcased!

Thanks for all the work Linson. The COTM threads are really the main reason I started coming to this site when I first got a thirdgen and why I kept stopping back in when I didnt have one. This is my favorite part of the site and I’m glad it’s moving from good hands to good hands.

Re: COTM Breaking News!!!
I'd also like to extend my gratitude - to both Linson ( GREAT job !! ) & to QwkTrip ( how do Linsons' boots fit ?!? ).
The COTM is a great way to showcase TGO members cars and to help promote our Thirdgen hobby to the world. I do cast a vote every month, but I always look over the nominees - usually in Awe !!!
Thanx for the last 5 years - I'm very much looking forward to the next 5 !

Re: COTM Breaking News!!!
I'm on quite a few different automotive forums, and this is the ONLY one that has a COTM. It's quite unique in my experience, and I really enjoy seeing all of the high quality cars that members have.
Thanks for all of your time and effort Linson. It's an easy task to underestimate. I'm the editor of our car clubs news letter. 24 pages every other month, and it feels like a Webster's dictionary to put together.
And congratulations to QwkTrip. I'm sure you'll do a great job.

Definitely the best ran cotm on any site. I’ve been on others that miss months, struggle to have participation and eventually just disappear under new threads. Linson especially and the TGO community as a whole have done an exceptional job with making cotm a staple on this forum.
