This is a Nomination Thread for cars that will compete for this month's Car of the Month honor. The most popularly nominated cars will be compiled into a Voting Thread within a couple weeks.
You can either nominate somebody else's car, or second a nomination (but not both). Cars must have a second nomination in order to make it to the Voting Thread.
Nomination Guidelines
Nominations must be of high quality, finished state, and in working order. No unrealistic, overly processed images. Please accompany the nomination with,
a single large, high quality photo
name of TGO member (with proper caps and spaces)
year, make, and model of car
Do not nominate your own car. Your car must be nominated by another TGO member. Cars must have a second nomination in order to continue to the Voting Thread.
Likewise, do not ask another family member or friend to join TGO for the purpose of nominating your car. Do not use multiple member accounts to nominate your own car.
Do not nominate more than one car.
If you are nominated, please DO go out and take an abundance of good quality photos of your car (multiple angles, interior, engine) and make them publicly accessible (for example via a photo album in your public profile, or some sort of hyperlink to your photo album).

OPEN SEASON -- Any very high quality, finished, stock or modified 82-92 Camaro or Firebird
I'd like to nominate dagwood's1982 Z28. Beautiful! First year of the 3rd gens. LG4 305, 3 speed automatic
21,130 miles
Thank you very much! BUT, I won COTM with that car in August, 2018, and I sold the car to another member here. His name on the board is socalkidd, so if you want to nominate the car, that is who it belongs to now!
You could probably still nominate him. I'm not sure how the rules go since the car has already won. But I will vouch that it is probably one of the cleanest 82 Z28's on the planet. The car is absolutely outstanding
He also has an incredible 87 IROC-Z, G92, 5 speed with 23k miles...
I like teamnegrillo's 1990 IROC Z, not just because it's an awesome looking car, but the work he did from a position that makes it really difficult to do the kind of fix he did on that car. Like it enough to nominate for January COTM.....
Whoa, Whoa, whoa! Hold the presses!! I thought I was going to get the only nomination for one month so that I can finally win.
We need a month where I get the only nomination and then the thread gets locked. End of story.
Since dagwood was nominated for a car he no longer owns, and it was made known the car is now owned by socalkidd, I would like to second the socalkidd nomination.
I'm guessing live4formula is going to be seconded (is that a real word?) so let's talk about options here.
We racked up 4 nominations surprisingly quick, and that opens an opportunity. Normally I would let this play out but this is January..... and we all know January COTM is usually pretty dead because voting runs over the holidays when everybody is busy with family. So how about doing something different this year and getting an early start on voting (hoping more people participate)?
Now we can keep going with the nominations, but I will end up giving the 5th, 6th, and so on nominees the option of bumping to next month anyway, if they feel it's getting too crowded. I'm not sure collecting more nominations is going to benefit us right now.
So what do you guys think about opening the voting early? Obviously I've got to coordinate with the nominees and give them time to prepare.
@dagwood , I'm assuming that's one of your pictures of the '82 and not a picture taken by socalkidd?
I wrote him asking for a picture to show in the voting thread. If you also have a way to get hold of him that would be great. He hasn't been here in a long time and I don't want him to miss out on this opportunity (if he wants to participate).
Thanks for the nomination. Here is a pic of my 1982 Z28. It’s an LG4 3 speed automatic with approximately 23,000 miles on the clock. Stock survivor. I had been searching for this car for years before I finally found it here on this board (thanks dagwood). I had an identical car to this in high school back in the 80’s. She now resides with me here in sunny SoCal.

I can't speak for anyone else, but the competition and voting gets overwhelming when there are two many options. On one hand the cars that end up getting excessive votes must really stand out, but it seems like many cars get overlooked in the voting.
Is there any way to make the voting a sealed process until the results are in? Seems like with the open poll format, there is potential for abuse, campaigning, and gaming the system.

Oh, I'm sorry, I pulled the trigger too fast. I'm going to have to pull back the nomination of teamnegrillo. It's a very good project car in progress but the interior is not finished yet and not of the fit and finish needed for COTM. I see the owner also recognizes this in his introduction thread from earlier this month.
Keep watching the progress on this car though because it's going to be a great one soon!
Again, sorry for the confusion. I'm a first timer still learning how to run this COTM thing smoothly.
my bad too, I remember seeing the cracked dash and spotty carpeting, but I also thought I saw pic of the remedy.... I must have scrolled into a related thread or something, maybe I just spend too much time looking at third gens.... Judging by the exterior, we'll have an opportunity for this one again sometime.
Hi all
nothing happens because of not being able to be nominated on another occasion.
Thank you very much to everyone, especially to those who have chosen my rocket.
I will be writing about progress.
Greetings
(Sorry for writing twice. In order to write I use the translator and I have seen that it has not worked well)
