PLEASE READ THE RULE LIST. THE LIST STARTED SMALL BUT PEOPLE ALWAYS SEEM TO WANT TO PUSH THE ENVELOPE. IF ITS ON THE LIST, ITS BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVE TRIED IT. REMEMBER, WE MUST PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE CONTEST SO THAT THE MOST DESERVING MEMBER WINS.
This thread is a Nomination Thread to nominate cars that will compete for this month's Car of the Month honor. The 10 (or less) most popularly nominated cars will be compiled into a *Voting Thread* in a couple of weeks. If you do not nominate a member's car for COTM, you can still second or third (fourth, fifth, so on) someone else's nomination. cars must have at least a second nomination in order to make the Voting Thread.
Do not nominate your own car. Your car must be nominated by another TGO Member.
Do not ask your wife, husband, friends, extended family, etc. to register as TGO Members for the purpose of nominating your car. If you are nominated, do not ask people to register as TGO Members for the purpose of voting for your car.
If you are nominated, you CAN vote for your own car.
Do not nominate more than one car.
Do not use multiple member accounts to nominate your own car, nominate multiple cars, vote for your own car, or vote multiple times.
This is not a picture thread. Post only ONE good photo of the car you wish to nominate. Do not use photo-edited pictures.
You must post a picture with your nomination.
Correctly identify the user name of the member who you nominate.
Correctly identify the year and model/trim of the car you nominate.
Do not nominate cars that are not in a high quality, finished state.
And if you are nominated, please DO go out and take an abundance of good quality photos of your ride (multiple angles, interior, engine) and make them publicly accessible (for example via a photo album in your public profile or some sort of hyperlink to your photo album.)
When threads are started on other websites, advising members there to come vote in COTM, it is usually not good for the integrity of the program because it invariably becomes more about voting for a particular Member/car (like a political campaign).
*****This Month's Criteria*****
CHEATERS: Any high quality, finished condition Firebird or Camaro that uses Forced Induction or Nitrous.
I'll bump this thread.
here are a few specs on my car (thanks for the nomination). its an 84 Z28. sunset orange metallic with a silver bottom. in current form it is a full blown race car. last time out it went back to back 9.057 at 149 mph. was pulling the front tires up. 434 sbc on alky running an Induction Solutions plate kit. running a 200 shot right now. we ran out of time last season to get an 8 sec pass. it was my 1st season running nitrous and i learned a lot. i feel the tune i had last season was a little sloppy. being a little wiser (and using front end limiters), this season should not doubt yield a high 8 sec pass. i run a powerglide, leaving at 4000rpm on nitrous. i use a leash progressive controller. it has a moser 9 inch with 4:11 gears. 10.5X28 mt slick. I'm thinking about trying radials this season. here are some more pics. i thought i had some of the engine bay but i can't find any right now. i'll try to get some soon

all the pics and info are excellent. but save it for the voting thread. this here [nomination thread] is just to get people in the running. the voting thread is where the nominees post pics and info.
