88 IROC vert on latest Hemmings Muscle Machines

Just got my latest Hemmings Muscle Machines mag #208.

It has an 88 IROC vert with a LS3 implant from a person associated with the old Nickey Performance of Loves Park, Illinois.

Not a fan of another LS engine in a 3ed gen but interesting article.

Enjoy.

Manny

Re: 88 IROC vert on latest Hemmings Muscle Machines

Earlier today, I took the mag out of my mailbox, sat down and read it! Good article, but I am too damn practical to do all he did, to that IROC Z Vert. Probably could have bought a C8 Vette, for what he spent. If not this year, certainty next.

So there must be lots of insight you could add, to the story?

Ever since muscle car review was killed off, HMM is the last good muscle car magazine around. Just got this issue in the mail today. Stoked to read it every time it arrives

Im a subscriber and this is an excellent magazine, a month or two ago they had a big write-up on some 80s Fox bodys also. I like to see this Era getting some support. I really liked the write up on this cool Iroc.

Nice folks own it. Really nice '88 convertible with one repaint I believe. It was at the Last ThirdGen Expo.

Re: 88 IROC vert on latest Hemmings Muscle Machines

I like the idea of it. I hope there’s a restomod market for these cars someday. You never know celebrities could start wanting flawlessly restored IROCs with the best modern performance and modern amenities while looking like a flawless factory original car...

maybe there will even be a shop that becomes famous for doing it.

The cars would be expensive... but oh well...
