Congratulations on COTM, Charcoalbird! That hood louver on the power bulge is really nice. I don't remember if any of the pictures showed this, but what did you do with the typical cowl opening? Does it have the 87-92 block-off plate, or is it open with an 82-84 grill?

Thank you, LAFireboyd. It is blocked off. I haven't taken any under hood temps since doing it so don't have any good data on it. If/when I set this car up for more than just weekend cruising I'll actually pay attention to temps and such. I will say though, my temp gauge does seem lower when cruising. Not sure what I'm going to do first; I may do this car, have one of the Verts repainted and restored, or finally fix up the 91 Formula I have with the widebody/flare kit I have for it.
Either way, all of that takes a backseat to saving for a shop being built. Not only are prices for materials high, but since people are moving to Florida in record numbers from wealthier paying states, they are also driving labor prices up.
Congrats Charcoal! Always liked your car. Now with some more power, I’m sure it’s a blast to drive! Beautiful car! And to 84 1le, beautiful car as well!
