Macwecen or Thirdgenresource????
I am going to buy the white faced inlays for my gauges on my 92 Camaro. Both are the same price. I do not want to take the needles off. I know the Macwecen's do not require the needles to remove. Anyone have use either gauges. Also, I would like to change the bulbs. Anyone have part numbers or prices.

MacEwen!! All the way!
I have the inlays from Ryan and they are great... super guy to deal with.
I use MacEwen's guages and they're excellent in quality and presentation. You will have to take at least one of the needles off for the Fuel/Volts and Oil Pres/Temp guages if you've got a Firebird... not sure if you need to take anything off for the Camaro's.

I had good luck with McEwen. When you swap the bulbs out, not only do the cluster but also the A/C heater control and console clock if you have one. The difference is amazing.

I believe thirdgenresource sells Macewen's gauges. I've dealt with Macewen before and hope to deal with him again. He's a great guy and knows how to keep happy customers.

Thanks for the replies! I am gonna go with the MacEwen's. But, I would also like to purchase the 194 bulbs from him. Does anyone know how much the bulbs are? Also, how many bulbs do I need for the gauges? Thanks

Here is the details
First... Ryan MacEwen is a great guy to deal with and he should be a sponsor on this site! I had a super great deal with him through a GP that a couple of guys on the Ontario Region Board setup. Ryan really knows how to take care of his customer's. To the best of my knowledge he runs his business by himself (I could be wrong on this). He offers silver overlays as well but I haven't seen anybody with them...
This is his webpage.... all of the details are on it, with pictures to boot.

I ordered the Xenon Clear 194 bulbs off of him as well as the white guages (the prices are on there as well). He does offer other colors like Xenon blue, green, amber, deep red, and purple.
To change out your instrument cluster you are going to need 10 or 11 bulbs (at least I think so), so you will need to order 6 packs (they come 2 in a pack)
I don't have the guages or bulbs installed in my IROC yet (she is stored for the winter) but when I do I will post some pics.
Here is a pic of an 89 IROC off of Ryan's site
Hope this helps!

And as for ThirdGen Resource
They get my vote... I have done several deals with these guys and they treated me right every time... I only speak of my experience.
I installed these xenon bulds and painted the back of my piece from that blue to hyper white along with the inside, want to talk about completely ligthing the gauges, no circular shadow in the center any more.
I have the MacEwen and the quality is great. I would recommend them to anyone. And nice people to deal with. They sent me the wrong speedo guage and I had the new one within a week. And this was when they had 8 foot of snow on the ground.
