Here is my Edelbrock 3 Point for the TPI motors.

I paid $160 from Jegs, and it was way worth it. I noticed a difference right away.

As promised ... heres my STB. I just put it in earlier this week, it made a huge difference.
The first time I noticed the difference is when i backed out of my garage and there were considerably less creeks and rattles as I dropped off my garage's 3 inch lip.
As far as driving ... excellent improvement. My front end's rock solid now, and cornering is much improved. (kinda makes highway on and off-ramps much more fun) I would definately recommend.

here's the pic ... hope it works

Kurt

Well, basically what KZad said... I live down a gravel driveway with potholes, and even though my car was pretty rattle free when I bought it, after about 2-3 months of driving up and down the driveway I would get creaks, rattles and squeaks.

I installed the STB, which was very easy BTW, you just gotta be able to handle drilling holes in your car...

But, I installed it, backed up, and started down the driveway and immediatly noticed a difference, the front end felt tighter, and it literally removed about 90% of my noises. Now I just need subframe connectors.

little warning, i've heard of people breaking their windshields running a 3 point STB, and no SFC's. Basically the engine bay stays rigid, but the rest of the body twists, which the windshield does not like I wouldn't launch it too hard or anything, and i'd definitely get those subframes done ASAP.

Yea, I second that about subframe connectors, Roshambo. To tighten up the rest would be sweet ... any idea what they run??? Mufflex by me said they'd charge $75 to weld them up.

z28onTweenkies -

I got my STB from my local speed shop. Its Edelbrock and made for our our year birds and camaros with TBI. I am pretty sure that they only make one model for our cars, and only one color ... black. My open air is 14X3 so your 14X5 should fit too. The brace ran around $120 with tax, i believe.

Wraith, I think the windshield safety is more of a concern with 4thgens. There was a discussion about that in the suspension board recently.
