is it possible to wideing oem wheels
is it possible to wideing oem wheels
hi guys , if heard of places before that can take rims and cut them and weld them back, , but i have nerver actually seen a place that can do this or if it even possible , personally i would have to say probally cant be done, specially with aluminin base wheels, but anyhow thought i throw this guestion out and see if im right or wrong, i would love to take my 89 formula wheels and turn them into 16x11 or 16x10 for the rear,
oh and for information if anyone ever goes to carlise pa, for the cars shows they have, there is a guy there that sell wheels at every show, sells the stock 16x81/2 formula wheels in chrome, only place or person i ever found that makes them, i think he wanted $600 for a set of 4, anyhow just some info ,

www.ws6.com this guy had it done and its usualy not cheap unless you know the guy doing it.
On most of our stock wheels, any widening would have to take place on the backside, meaning you'd need spacers. I sure wish you could get the 18" IROC wheels in a 9 1/2" width. Let us know if you find a place, and how much they charge.
