engine paint question
I have the block pulled to have it re-worked. While it is out, I was going to paint it the same color as my car. What paint do I need for that? It is code 34 dark bright teal (1991) Thanks

go to your autoparts store and look for hgh temp paint in whatever colors they have
Regular automotive enamel mixed in the color of your body should work just fine. Only place you would have any problem would be on the heads near the exhaust ports, or on a painted intake manifold.
Well, I already have high temp paint (1500 degrees) for the heads and headers. The intake I am going to leave plain aluminum. All I was looking for is enough to do the motor block itself. I am sure that the heat will bake it on real good. Will I have to clear coat it like I do the body?
