Anyone had problems with 91-92 paint/plastic?

I have a 92 Formula, and the paint on all the plastic, ie front and rear clips, spoiler, and back of powerbulge, is all faded. The rest of the car looks great. Why is this, and what is the best solution? Get someone to just shoot the plastic, or repaint the whole car? I had one body shop say they don't repaint plastic; that they only replace it. That would be WAY more then I want to spend. Thanks.

Yeah, just this year I have started to notice the paint on my blisters and spoiler fading off . Im getting my entire car repainted this summer, so that is my solution. I have always noticed that the blisters look a different color under some lights at night too, so I think one uniform coat of paint will take care of the problem.

I dont know about fading, but a good sign of an improperly painted car is if the plastics are all finely cracked. There is a prep you put in primer and paint for plastic pieces. That (or lack there of) could be your problem.
