Cure for smoker's interior?

My 91 T/A has cigarette odor that is resistive to Febreeze and general "airing out." Any ideas on curing this problem?

This is a detailing question, but, should probably have gone to the interior board.

......stop smoking. LOL

Umm, i really dont know of any other product than febreeze that would work in getting it out... maybe you could try steam cleaning your seats and carpet, or find something else that will block out the smell of cigarettes and which u dont mind (i.e. alcohol, gasoline, etc )

Oh man

I know what u mean, my cars Original owner used to smoke cigars. He was a rich lawyer, at least he had taste in cars! All the options in my GTA I tried everything, Hell the odor is still in there even after having put in the roll cage, ( welding, paint) the cigar came back. Its not 2 bad thought, but still buggy. I just learned to live with it 8 years and counting

Dont know what to tell u except roll with your windows down or just change all carpeting and seats.

Tell me if u do find sumthing thought

Glade Wizard tobacco odor neutralizer. I have only been able to find this in a citrus sent but it does work very well. May not fix yours but worth a try.

Well I used to smoke in my firebird ragtop, so i know all about romoving those foul oders.

Walmart carries this stuff called Ozium, its an ozone based air freshener.

I sprayed about 2 puffs into the center of the car every night for about a week, then i let it air out for a little bit before i got in it to goto work in the morning.

Ozone is toxic so be careful not to inhale the spray or not let it air out a bit before getting in. i don't think the amount left in the car after sitting all night would be anywhere near dangerous, but ehh, you can never be too carful.

After about a week I steam clened all the upholstery.

No more smoky flavor. Its great.

I also found that Copenhagen helps to reduce the smoky smell while still satisfing, but that opens up a whole other can of worms when your spit cups spills.

I used to work with fire damaged houses and we used Ozon and that would fix it right up... A Company who does reconds on cars would be able to fix your problem.
