Window tint
I live in minnesota, legal is 50%. I went with 35% all around on my white car. i didn't feel like a cop stopping me and testing my tint then pealing it off on the side of the road. Make sure if you want one peice in the back that you ask them if they do it before you bring it in. I never have to tilt my rearview mirrior at night.
it depends on how much you drive the car..........
for my car i have 5%limo all around, except for the windshield obviously.
but, this causes major problems with the law as well as it's almost impossible to see real well at night.
i would go with 5% on the back since 20% isn't that much harder for you to see out of, but no one can see in.
for the sides, if your worried about the law; then i would say either find a shop that will warranty against tickets or forget it. you will get popped for it.
but, if you don't care, i would not go any darker than 20%, again it's close to 5% in looks but much easier to see out of at night.
one difference between a 5% back, 20% side is when the doors are closed with the windows up it looks nice an dark, but with the doors open you can see through the window no problem.
i'll show you some pics.
here's one to get an idea with the doors closed, sorry for the bad quality.

here's a close up to see how hard it is to see in even when your right up on it!

now i'll show you a pick with the doors open, try to look through the passenger door even with it open. any other percent you'll have no problem.

lastly here's one close up pick, well sort of, to give you the idea of how hard it is to really see in. again, i don't drive it much at night unless i know the roads good as well as the car is more for show then anything else so the police often will let it slide; but on a everyday driver i think it might be a bit dark.

My tint for all 3 windows was $200. I got the tint with aluminum between the 2 films, witch makes it last longer and reflec better. (it doesn't look silver thought) I also got a 10 year warrenty with that tint. And one peice in the back (make sure you ask for 1 peice)

thanks
I belive its 50% (the lightest you can get), and I tried to tint my own windows, it isn't too hard just takes time. make sure you make it fit on the outside of the window before you try to put it on. just a blow dryer to heat shrink spots too.
