If You want a to make videos of your car
If you're like me and don't have money to buy a Digital camcorder or you don't like the fact that cheap digital video cameras only record like a couple mins of video. I bought a USB Instant Video device from www.computers4sure.com , it's made by ADS I believe. $61+shipping. Of course you'll have to have a VHS camcorder, just plug the USB device into your computer and hook up the A/V jacks to either the camcorder or VCR and it puts the video on your computer. It also comes with ULEAD Digital Studio, so you can convert it into avi, mpg, wmv, and others to share on the net. I just wanted to post this to let others know, if they're looking for a cheaper alternative.
Here's the url to my first video I did, I'm working on compressing the video better, and I've figured out the audio problems, I had the settings to high. http://soul.apk.net/cfabe/pics/funst...rocworking.avi
it's about 9.5mb

The best add on card I have used is from dazzle. www.dazzle.com
Here is one of the models from techonweb.com

The best method I like to use is having a video card with video inputs on it. ATI has many models to choose from. It's also a nice way to get still images.

Yeah I checked out dazzle they have cards and usb. The thing is I bought the usb because I have a laptop and wasn't sure if the card would fit. Plus the fact the usb is a lot cheaper. And can capture still images too.

I just checked the price of the dazzle usb, crap I lost money on that deal. Oh, well, I'm still happy with the results for the price. But does that one do audio.
