Question........ What do you think????
Guys, I'm torn!!!!
I own an 89 GTA... And I'm painting it a different color. It is now black, and I'm torn between two colors! My choice are
Chrysler Platinum (which I found out is FlyinLow89GTA's color)
Pepper Gray Metallic (color of "Eleanor", the shelby GT500 in Gone in Sixty Seconds
What do you all think??????

Definetly GTA's. Maybe a TA or later Formula spoiler would be better also, but that 1 is cool.
red and grey cars are to common go with something different , i am sure if you thought about it you can come up with a color no one else has on their maro, birds or whatever................. like the color of the drinl sex on the beach , tequla sunrise(speel check i know i can not spell for ****) just something that says this is my car and no one else can even compare ....................

i thought eleanor was a darker shade of gray than that of no4njunk's car
Here's an outside pic of eleanor to compare it to....
Heres what my car looks like in the evening or early morning...
I know I have told you this before, but I am probably going to paint my 83 Trans Am Pepper Grey Metallic this summer and was wondering what process (how many base + clear, etc..) you used to paint yours?(No4NJunk)

83ta,
I did all the prep work myself. I started by body filling all the dents cracks seams etc (I mix my own body filler). I got the body as perfect as I could. As I've stated before I only primer the areas that have been worked on or areas that have no paint because paint sticks better to paint. After preping everything I had 2 coats of base laid down, cooked, then 2 coats of clear (If I remember correctly). When the car got back I wetsanded and polished. Wala....glass! Its not a showroom job but I like it and I don't worry when driving on the street (rocks, debris). Where or who is painting the car?? I'm glad to hear you like the color! Good luck on the job.

That's exactly what I was thinking of doing for my car. I'll be doing the body work and prep work with my brother and a guy with a private shop will probably paint it, then I'll wetsand and buff it myself. I still have to get some 85-90 tail lights and I'll probably get GTA wheels next year (unless someone wants to donote money to the 'fix dave's car up REAL nice' cause).
Here is an edited pic of my car now (shaved the door handles to see what it would look like
)
apparently the color is Medium Grey Metallic, but I think it looks like a light grey or silver, can anyone verify this??
