Wrecked IROC (pics inside)

Well, this IROC is TOAST!

My brother purchased this IROC a while back and we yanked the 350 TPI and automatic and put it into his 84 Sport Coupe.

Here is a quick scoop on this IROC. The guy we purchased the car from was driving it back from a shop and he decided to check out the work done on the engine....143 mph!

He came over the crest of a hill and lost control spun out 4 or 5 times and rearended himself into an embankment and rolled the car. He was ejected through the t-top and the car rolled over him (not crushing him at all) The Lord sure was with this guy!:hail: He was soaked in gas and the car never ignited.

My bro and I were floored when we found out the guy that this happened to was the guy telling us the story because when you look at the car this guy should have died.

Here are the pics. MORAL of the story, drive safe everyone.

I hate when that happens.

Seriously though, that guy is one lucky SOB. Did this happen a while ago, cause I could have sworn I've seen those pics on here before.

wrecked F bodies

My friend and I wrecked his 1998 SS about three weeks ago . We were dialing it in with the Vericom, doing quarter mile runs in a business park. The road turned left about a hundred feet short of a quarter mile but we didn't. We went over the curb at about 70 mph and went flying into the woods next to the road. We hit a tree, sheared it off at the roots, because we hit the tree on the driver side it sent us into a spin. Finally the car stopped about twenty feet into the woods. Both of us walked away unharmed but a little bruised. The pictures don't do service to the condition of the car. But to some it up all the wheels were either broken or bent completely out of wack, the exhaust was ripped off the car, the dash split into two, all the floorboards were pushed up about four inches, the steering column broken, the brake master cylinder was shoved through the windshield, and the driveside door skin was broken off, the driver side wheel and tire was pushed into the driver's firewall. The lesson here is don't be stupid, and always wear your seatbelt! Check out the pictures at this site: http://www.geocities.com/bigtpicj7/greatpics2.html

I hope that compact spare was just put on there to roll the wrecked car around, elsewise, that's the idiots problem. Either way though, I don't feel too sorry for people that stupid.

Looking at the IROC that bill posted, it appears that these cars can take some lickings, and still save the life of the driver.

It appears from the pix that both the driver and passenger could have survived the accident even if they stayed in the car. he survived anyway, which I hope he thanks G0D for on a continual basis...

John

I rekon that if you zaino it, people will be so amazed at the shine that they wouldn't even notice the creases. Infact yeah, you could buff those dents right out of her.

I read that some of you were really disheartened about those pictures. The way I look at is like this. The More F-bodies I see in the junkyard, the more my car is worth, because there will always be a demad for them, the less there are, the more my car is worth.

For each wrecked thirdgen f-body I see I figure the value of my car goes up about a single dollar...
