I would be interested if the price is right. I can get a SS good for $195 though cause my neighbor owns this body shop and he gets good prices on fenders, hoods and all that. So unless you can beat $195 I wont be interested.

just food for thought.... you know those body kits from the 80s that everyone now thinks look hideous? in 10 years i can see that with ram air hoods on thirdgens. the rounded, bubbly style of the hood clashes with the crisp edges of firebirds and TAs. that's just my .02 though

Can your neighbor get a hood for a 3rd gen that looks like the 94 camaro's? I just recently rear-ended a ford escape (f*ckin fords, always in the g*d d*mn way) and need a new hood. If I can't get one that looks like a 94's, what could he get me a standard hood for an 89 camaro RS for cheap?

I talked to my neighbor about the hoods and he said he gets the SS hoods and the cowl hoods for 195. Im not sure about the 94 camaro hoods. Im really thinking about getting the SS hood for 195. Im not sure on how the quality is he just told me the list price is 495, but tomorrow im gonna find out who makes these hoods, but I have seen the cowl hoods he orders and there great. I will find out and im sure I can get more of them maybe if anyone is interested. Im not sure though cause of shipping and so on.

 

For 195, even I would be interested in an SS hood, I would just cut out the headlight pockets for my bird! I think an SS hood on a bird might acually look pretty damn good!

Hey... can he get ANY steel hoods for camaros? I am getting a new hood before paint and I thought about a cowl or SS hood... but they are all fiberglass and I want a steel hood...

 

ok so i called gt auto, and they said the same prices as were on thirdgenresource, and the only way they do group purchases is if all the hoods are shipped to the same place. so what i was thinkin is......

maybe we can organize ourselves into different groups or areas. and get them shipped to a point were is convienient for everyone in that group to get to. the dude didnt give me a price on the group purchase yet. so what yall say? maybe we can divide up like this....

north east (like pa and all those states down to like virginia.)

I'd be ok, if there was enough interest to drive somewhere to pick up the hood. It would have to be for considerably less money. I think the gen II ram-air hood is $550. A 15% discount would be reasonable. That would put the price of the hood at around $465 or so. If we could do it for that, I'd be in.

 

Well hell, your in philly, and Im basically right across the bridge in Jersey (12 miles or so) So Im up for that!

hey y'all got bad news. I talked to him and he is like I can only get it for you. I was like well I have a few people that are interested and he is like Joey I the thing I dont any money this way, but since your a good friend I can do it for you. The main thing he said is since there so busy he dont have the time and all. But I might be able to get up to 5 of them no problem and im not sure on what kind of hoods he just said the SS ram air hood and the cowl hoods.
