Ok, I looked in the old board mess. to vague. Well at the old boneyard today. I come along a near mint cond. dash pad. I'm looking closer and seems that I read that most dash pads are interchangeable. Between Camaro and Firebird. I notice right of hand that there are different size vent fin covers and different speaker vents. I tried to line up the dash pad out of the GTA into a Z28 seems that the screw holes lined up. But the heater duct gets in the way of the dash pad sitting in place right. Question what can I put in my 85 Z28? Can or does the dash itself have to be mod. for the GTA dash pad to fit? Hope you can help. Cause the guy at the yard would sell it to me for $15. Just needs some TLC and will look like new.

 

They are slighty different shapes to if you notice the edges of the two pads. Sadly any 82-92 Camaro Only pad will fit.

 

the firebird pad is two inches shorter, and doesn't have the cut out for the upper center air vents. Also the other difference is that the speaker Grills are removable (I think, not sure).

I just found one at a bone yard yesterday, got it for $50, a little higher than I wanted to pay, but the guy talked me into it, "Camaro Dash Pads that arn't cracked, are hard to come by, you shouldn't pass this up. Fifty dollars is well worth it. They go on Ebay for like a hundred dollars." D@mnit, why did the guy have to know his cars!!!!!
