Removing T-top latches?

Removing T-top latches?

Hey guys, does anyhave have a way to get the ENTIRE latch system off the t-tops? Its glued on with some black silicone stuff, and I want to get it off. Anyone have any ideas?

hmm... i dont know off hand, but my bro has an i think 87 firebird.. it has t tops.. the car is broken so we are gonna strip it down , im not too sure when we are gonna have fun with the car though maybe soon , maybe not.. ;( but if noone finds a way to get em off, ill let ya know if i got em off his t tops.

Do you plan on switching from the hook type to the pin type? If so, I could realy use some help doing that with mine. Btw, are the T-tops the same sizes from 82 and up? I have an 83 that has some very annoying hook type T tops that I would like to either fix or replace.
