What are they for? I think there kind of ugly. Do thy need to be left on? Im talking about those plastic strips that run the length of the doors just under the car.
Thanks
Thanks
I don't think they do anything except make the car look lower to the ground and hide the exhaust on the passenger side, they may help with the aerodynamics a little. I still have the one on the drivers side but am missing the one on the passenger side and haven't noticed any problems.

I think they look better than seeing the undercarrage. If you're noticing them at all, chances are a fresh coat of black paint will help.

I think they only came on cars with ground effects.

ok...the long plastic strips under the doors are supposed to help on gas mileage...they help cut the air from pushing upward on the undercarraig ....and yes some cleaning and a can of flat black enamal will do wanders

Yeah, it's just a Trans Am thing. Formulas and Camaros need not apply.

yeah, I guess after all those GFX were added the T/A still needed help, so the designeers figured they needed them. Unlike Formulas and Camaros which were PERFECT they way they were...

On another unrelated note I saw something cool the other day. I have never seen a self service garage before that was open to the public. Seen them on the bases before. Kind of nice for people that dont have a garage. I really need to find someplace to work on my car. Apartment complexes arent to keen with seeing cars jacked up with the rearend getting dropped out. Oh well.

Yeah my GTA had them... I removed them, and it looked much better than seeing this beat up piece of plastic hanging down. Theyre only held on by screws, so if you dont like them being off, you can put me right back on!
