Rear Part Of Plenum Cover
i really need to know if i can get just the rear cover of the plenum for the tpi (part that covers the coil/distributer/wires)..
anyone have any clue where and how much they are...
(i was racing a pony and i knew it was lose but i didnt think that the kick would make it fall off completely!!)
thanks...iroc2nv
(does this constitute as an interior part) ITS AN INTERIOR PART OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT!!

The TPI guys (on the TPI forum) probably have a good source. I've seen them in aftermarket catalogs, too, but I"ll be damned if I can remember where. There's always our sponsors above, too.
Here's something strange: I ordered the metal plenum extension/distributor cover and the three screws from a chevy dealership. The screws are the exact same thread as the screws that held the stock plastic piece. Somehow, the new screws really don't like the holes they are supposed to go into. I don't understand it.

Hey Cort, my friend just bought the alum ext along with the screws from the dealership for his GTA and ran into the same thing. The screws with the made on washers do fit the holes in the alum ext. We are searching to find screws that have just a regular head on them. If anyone finds some let us know.

Definately E-Bay. I bought one and it's cool. It is made from aluminum and looks stock. Actually it is stock on corvettes. We got screwed on that one.
The aluminun plenum extension requires different screws than the plastic one.
Here are the correct part numbers:
GM P/N 10108425 Aluminum Plenum Extension $ 19.50
GM P/N 14082425 Screws (for plenum extension) $0.42 x 3

Well you got that info from my site and that is what I paid a couple of years ago directly listed from my invoice. You are right the price has skyrocketed. Another good example of these parts getting discontinued and raised in price at a very rapid rate.
Best order all the parts you need for the mid 80's year 3rd Gens.

A lot of the mid 80's parts are getting rare at the dealer.
I need an 84 Fender Air Extractor for my car, they only have one side, I forgot which one. If the parts interchange for the mid and late 3rd gens, the part numbers will be the same, at least in my experience.
